Why the blue everywhere?

Honestly? I just like blue. Sorry.

Why should I listen to anything you say about science?

You shouldn't! Always check your sources, and never trust anything a random stranger tells you on the internet. For example, I could say I have a Master's degree in astrophysics (which I do) but how do you know I'm not just making that up? You don't.

So what should you do? Well, you could ask me to post some proof of my degree, but I'm not going to do that (also never put personal info online, guys!). So now what? Well, I always link my sources (unless I haven't got round to it yet, which does happen), so check a few out. Science is a constant process of checking that other people aren't lying. That's what peer-review is (kind of). My philosophy is to check a few sources, and if they align with what the person is saying, then I take it as granted that they're generally truthful. But you should probably check all my sources (once they're linked), and especially if I make any claims that seem particularly out there.

Congrats. You're a scientist now.
